"Most people when they come to New York, they go straight to the Empire State Building. That's pretty touristy. I come here." - Michael Scott from Times Square
Yay, I’m in New York! And I just found an apartment that’s only a few blocks from Times Square! How neat. It looks really cute and there’s actually enough space to live and it’s in a good neighborhood! I mean, technically its neighborhood is called Hell’s Kitchen, but it looks really cute and almost like Suzanne’s and my old neighborhood! Yay! Plus this morning I saw a guy with a full-head tat of a Mexican wrestling mask. Ha ha.
Google is amaaaazing! Everyone is so nice and supportive that it doesn’t even make sense. I’m still not sure what sorts of perks and things I’m not supposed to talk about, but rest assured that free, delicious breakfast, lunch and dinner is but the tip of the awesomeness iceberg. Also I really like my team and my project is actually interesting! Which was my big fear so that’s great. My overall team is spreadsheets but I can’t tell you what my specific project is yet, but it’s really exciting and ah love eet.
I’m going home this weekend to try and work on the filth hole and then Duncan comes in a week and two days and then we are going home in a week and three days! And tonight we used my new webcam to video skype! So that was neat, but Duncan didn’t have a webcam, so that was not as neat. But soon!
Okay, now it is after 11 and I promised myself I’d go to bed at 11 to try and make up all the sleep I lost over rewatching the entire Office Season 2 in the last couple of nights, so here are some pictures and I shall caption them shortly. Later!
Next night at 11: Curses! They just started an episode of House on USA! I could have resisted another episode of Law & Order, but this is just too much to bear. Curses curses curses, now I gotta go to bed at midnight and I’m only gonna get 8 hours of sleep and I’ll never make up the sleep deficit at this rate. Nooo! Oh well, may as well picture it up while I loaf.
This is the ceiling of an art museum in Venice that Duncan and I went to. It’s golden and pretty. Neat!
This is a window with some branches growing across it. Yep!
This is umm, a church. I don’t know, we just passed it and I thought it was pretty. Awww, Venice! Can’t wait for Duncan to come in less than a week and a day!
A neat little staircase into a canal.
Some Venetian glass! Which is of course sold in every other store for like a million dollars per vase.
Duncan took this picture! It’s pretty.
Okay, I think all this sleep deprivation has made me go plum stupid, so I’m gonna call it a night. Yaay! Oh and also, I just got tickets on the Chinatown Bus to come home tomorrow, so maybe we can hang out in between all the cleaning and sleeping I’ll be doing. Make it so!

« I'm going to Berkeley tomorrow and the only American money I have is the five dollars Kali gave me for eating that packet of mayonnaise!» I'm on the bus, writing in the blawg!
