We made it out of Bombay without getting terrorized!
Except I did get a pretty terrifying stomach bug, but Jan nursed me back to health so good. Yesterday we flew to Bangalore and this morning we ate the most delicious dosas there ever were. Strangers in the restaurant kept talking to us out of nowhere and helping us figure out how to do things and it was neat. Then we went to this massive garden and saw flowers. and. stuff.
Also, in Delhi, we were walking down a narrow street with Catie when this old guy who was lying on the ground called us over and invited us for tea, and Catie said you’re not allowed to say no to tea when you’re in India, so we had tea with a guy on the street. I guess his house was right next to where he was laying down, but it was still pretty weird. And then while we were sitting there, a cow came down the street and walked up to these ladies who were trying to get into their house, and they backed away because you’re not allowed to touch the street cows, and then the cow went inside their house. Awesome! I wanted to take a picture but I didn’t know if you also aren’t allowed to take pictures of the street cows.
Now Eric’s gonna get a $2 haircut and tonight we’re taking a 14-hour bus ride to Kerala so’s we can take a trip on a houseboat around the backwaters, which is sposed to be amazing, yay.
