Finally did something awesome in Australia!
Yaaay! I’d been kind of down for the past week because Australia was turning out to be more expensive, harder to get around, and grosser than New Zealand and nothing we did was very fun, but we just got back from Fraser Island and it was so perfect! Soooo perfect. It was my first time camping and I’m still filthy and i LOVE IT. I’m gonna shower in a few minutes and it’s going to be the best shower ever except for maybe the first shower after I got out of the hospital and my hair was one big mass of greaseballiness. Mmmmm, can’t wait for the filth to come off in sheets.
So Fraser Island is the world’s largest sand island and it has rain forest all over it, which makes it like an alien planet. On the first night we walked through all these sand dunes and saw a glorious sunset and then all of a sudden we were on the edge of this huge lake. Like, out of nowhere. Also, there were freakin dingoes! They just look like someone’s dog but if you get too close they eat your face. I was pretty excited about the partner peeing but then I ended up not peeing except for at the campgrounds because peeing on the ground grossest me out too much. Just thought you’d like to know about my urinary preferences! Also I set up my first tent and we cooked food with a little propane tank and I felt like such a nature woman.
Also it was crazy because we had to drive these huge 4WD trucks to get around the soft sand roads and we’d all bounce around and no one would wear their seatbelts but Nick and me and it was such foolishness because sometimes people flip over and I don’t want to become no quadriplegic. Nur, not much internet time left I’m gonna get on uploading pictures. Laterrr!

Pix are great! Keep ‘em comin’ so we can all live vicariously through you! A friend told me last night that you should definitely do the bridge while in Australia.
